Sugar Plume has been aged for 25 years in a Hogshead cask from Bunnahabhain Distillery. This extremely rare and covetable single cask single malt (only 66 bottles available to UK customers) was batched during the smoky trials under Burn Stewart’s ownership in 1997. Playfully named after the Sugar Plum Fairy, due to it’s sumptuous and saccharine notes, infused with a plume of smoke.
Nose: Met with delicate, light tropical sweetness and faintly maritime. Soft, balanced with a gentle integration of smoke.
Palate: Gentle warming reveals sweet citric notes which follow through to the rich, mouth filling palate.
Finish: Sweet, smoky malt evolves alongside the citrus; resulting in a sweet, smoky and citric sensation.
