DOUGLAS LAING’S XTRA OLD PARTICULAR

The “big brother” to the Old Particular range, Xtra Old Particular. XOP bottlings represent the Douglas Laing “family jewels”. They reserve the most spectacular and unique Single Casks from the family stocks to be released under this label. Each expression, presented in a luxurious wooden box, carries a heavy-weight glass stopper and individually numbered certificate and label, honouring the antique Single Malt or Single Grain it carries.

Blair Athol

25 Year Old | 1995 Vintage

57.9% ABV | 70cl

This 25 year old Blair Athol single malt whisky, bottled in 2020, is one of only 276 bottles aged exclusively in a Sherry butt. Rich spices are apparent with aromas of charred wood and burnt brown sugar. Sweet and fruity on the palate with notes of honeycomb and barley that develop to peaches and banana. The finish is creamy with notes of apple peel and a little cinnamon.

Laphroaig
21 Year Old | 1999 Vintage
56.6% ABV | 70cl

This 21 year old Laphroaig single malt whisky, bottled in 2021, is one of only 303 bottles aged exclusively in a refill Sherry butt. Aromas of dark stewed fruits are followed by hints of ash and new leather. Sweet and chewy on the palate with notes of smoked meat and pepper. The finish is rich with notes of sugary malt, mocha and barley.
